At the beginning of 2024 I wrote a blog about the Christmas experience. I was interested in whether you had had the Christmas you wanted. I asked you to think about your experience. Additionally, I pointed out that you are in charge of how you react to your experience. Unsurprisingly, I concluded by pointing out that you have a year to plan for something better. And now is the time to consider that planning. How did your planning go for a better Christmas this year?

A blank notebook with a pen and two, scrunched up sheets of paper - it's all about making a planYou may not have given it a second thought. Simply, it is either that it doesn’t matter or that you have the experiences that you want. Alternatively, you may have spent the year planning for the Christmas year that you really want. And, I know people who do this every year. They are the Christmas planners, with diaries and spreadsheets, with every detail defined.

Of course, life events may have derailed the plans. Obviously, we can only plan for what we can control and what we can influence. Everything else is down to others. Part of the planning process is having that contingency plan. Which, of course, won’t always work.

And I am sure that some will once more be having a Christmas experience which is something other than what you want. That may well be out of your control. How you choose to react to that, though, is entirely down to you.

A boarded walkway through a forest, with a fork ahead - it's time to make a choiceCrucially, how you react is always down to you. Whether you are in charge or not, some things happen over which you have no power. Apart from the power to react in a way which makes it all work.

In the blog I referenced at the start, I wrote that, “It may be that there are changes you want to make to what you’re having and doing. Alternatively, you may work out that you need to change what you think and feel. Possibly it’s a combination of the two.”.

If you’re not sure, book an initial consultation here, and then take the next step. You know that you can do it, and you know that it makes sense, don’t you?
